midnight intuition

the pathways of my mind intersect and wind

curling until they turn to infinite spirals

leading to darkness I couldn't see the end of if I tried.

my mind doesn't listen when I tell it to stop.  

what do you do when you cross the sea without me? 

on this warm night, I stand outside in the blue dark. 

I wear a bathrobe over my pajamas 

and old crocs that are faded purple 

it's almost night on the Tyrrhenian Sea 

homes glow like stars on the cliffside 

and waves of green lap against the side of the boat 

there is a storm approaching,
