I gave a long exhale “finally they’re done bickering” I thought
I turned, “alright, class is—”
“Ryder” grunted Juniper “you keep avoiding my question”
Kael didn’t roll his eyes, he just looked at me “yeah, What are we gonna do?”
Juniper turned, shocked that he had no angry reply but instead agreed. “Hmph— finally! You realize the dangers of this whole— stupid thing!”
“That’s… not helping” Kael said , gaze drifting to the floor.
“let’s just get to class”
“Agreed” me and Juniper said at the same time.
We walked to class and I absent minded followed Kael and Juniper until
“Where are we going” Kael asked
Juniper’s unfocused eyes landed on him “what do you mean? We’re following you”
“I was following you!”
Both of their heads looked back to me, I blinked, finally paying attention “wha— I was following both of you!”
Kael nodded and looked at Juniper. “What's the next class then?”
“My schedule changed to your guys’!” She said shrilly “so if you don’t know then Ryder should”
They were both eyeing me intently
“uhh… yeah… um Telekinetic Fundamentals I think is what it’s called” I say nervously
They both beamed at me and we walked to room 105 together
We walked in to see another new professor.
A plump beaty-eyed woman. With short curled hair that was pulled back into a tight bun.
Professor Willow turned “I am professor Willow” she snipped
But where was Professor Lenira Thale?
“Miss, Where’s Professor Thale?” I asked curiously
Her brows furrowed “she’s been moved to headmistress of the north tower. You won’t be seeing her often” she said curtly
Kael nodded “Ryder— she’s not someone to muck around with his Professor Hex, come on” he grabbed my arm and took me to our seats in the back of the class.
Juniper was determined to get the teacher to like her.
She raised her hand every question. Was never called on and tried to butt in “but—wait I know!—”
“Mrs. Vale. We are perfectly fine without your narration. Not everyone likes a smart aleck. Now will you sit down”
Juniper, who was half-standing, sat down.
Face completely pink of sheer embarrassment. “Y-yes ma’am” she mumbled
Kael gave a cocky grin, then leaned onto the palm of his hand. “This is why you don’t try being smart, and just let me do all the talk—”
“Kael was it?” Snapped the Professor
He stood and hit his knee on the table “oh—ow! Uh yes ma’am?” He said, now completely standing.
“Now, do something useful for once with that massive mouth of yours and answer the question I asked”
“Uh— that’s tough?” He said shrugging
She exhaled from her nose “this is why you pay attention” she snipped
Seraphina grinned “well, Mrs if I may”
“Go ahead!” She said happily for once in the whole day.
“The answer would be to angle your wand correctly at a 50°—”
“90”
“What?” Seraphina said, turning towards me
“It’s 90°” I say calmly
“Well I could not care. I’m a Yellow. It’ll count correct either way.”
“Couldn’t, it’s couldn’t care, and it seems so”
She pressed her lips together tightly and clenched her jaw.
Professor Willow gave a tight forced smile “thanks for helping a classmate. But we really couldn’t care less of your opinion” she said adjusting her own White-and-Yellow Neckerchief. She was in the same Luminor Class.
Elias awkwardly adjusted his silver and white Neckerchief then helped Nyx with hers.
Since they were in a Luminor class above Willow, they had to be in top shape.
(Hey! Sorry it’s taken me so long. I haven’t been able to think of ideas! But I’ve finally got another chapter!! I am quite happy about it! And I think my writing has improved! I’ll try to keep up with writing! I’m getting into it again, I’m hoping to at least have another chapter by my birthday on the twentieth! So not that long but I’ll try! This only took…. Like a month because I keep writing new books of old ideas I’ve made 😭😅 hope you enjoy!)
