My Hair and My Eyes

My hair is brown

It doesn't have highlights

Or a red tint

It doesn't shine

In the sun

It's just brown

It's not long

Or layered

There's no light brown

Hidden in the dark brown

Or streaks of black

It's not curly

Or wavy

It hangs to my shoulders

In straight lines of brown

My eyes are brown

There's no gold specs

They don't turn green

In certain lights

They're not overly big

And they're not lined

By luscious lashes

They're just brown

Pools of dark brown

They're not honey colored

Or the color of chocolate

They're just dark brown

They match my hair

My dark brown hair

The falls in lines

To my shoulders

And my eyes

That are pools of dark brown
