The night

The crickets are chirping softly.

The moon is out,

Bright and glorious.

Cars race as fast as they can to get back home.

Stores are closing for the night while others are still open.

Animals go to sleep while others are just waking.

Raccoons and Night warblers,

Bats and owls,

Are all getting ready for their midnight prowls.
