This is a true event from my life that reflects this quote.

    I stay awake that night hoping to catch santa. I need to know if he is real! I stay awake with a flashlight in hand, I hear the snores and breathing of my family across the hall. I need to make sure he got me the barbie salon.

When I was little, I was always excited at Christmas time. I started to feel excited when we got our Christmas tree, and by Christmas Eve, I was so excited I could hardly sleep.

"I feel so bad he's sick today," my 5th grade teacher thoughtfully said, "and Halloween is his favorite holiday. I hope he'll still get to trick-or-treat." I could hear my teacher from across the room.

One day my Mom had a lot of groceries to bring into our house. She couldn’t bring the groceries in because there were too many. So, I decided to help her with them. I brought them in and helped her put them away. I put the bread in the cupboard.

Climate change is the most pressing issue right now. I think that solving climate change seems unachievable to lots of people because it is a huge concept that not many people bother to break down into swallowable chunks.

As a child, Christmas felt like a dream. 
It felt like such a day couldn’t exist,
like we would wake up to December 26th, 
and go on with our lives like normal. 

Christmas felt like not being able to sleep, 

It was a warm July morning and I lay in bed staring at the ceiling.  I looked at the time and it said 8:32, so I thought I should get up.

One thing that I wish I could do over is a time last year when I overreacted about a situation with my teacher. Last year, my entire class was told that every number that we wrote in math had to be inside of these little graph paper boxes.

If you could have one do over on any part of your life, what would it be? You could do anything over. It could be first grade, rewriting a paper, or even just one thing you said or did.

 It was a cold day in January of 2017. That day, there was a lot of snow on the ground. My aunt and cousin were visiting from Texas. My mother and aunt were off shopping in town. My brother, cousin, and I decided to go sledding.
