Ode to Rain

Spring rain, sweet and fresh
"Pitter patter" on the roof
Rain slips off new leaves

Humid summer rain
Like a warm, cleansing shower
Washing away dust

Chilly autumn rain
Splashing in little puddles
Like restless children

Icy winter rain
Like sharp teeth biting my cheeks
Dancing in the wind
