The moon and the stars and one dark night turned extraordinary.
One night with my dad. We gazed
At the sky, eyes wide,
Drinking in the beauty.
We looked as the bright lights emanated.
We looked as the stars moved.
We looked at the Little Dipper, directly in our view.
We saw together, one night, the stars that decided to show
the fraction of the world to let us know that we were not alone.
One night turned extraordinary.
The bright that spread through,
The happiness that followed,
The companionship that ensued,
that will always do.

I could feel the love emanating from this! And what better backdrop than the night sky? There's something about a starlit evening that has the ability to draw you closer to people, fills you all with wonder in a way you rarely feel in the daylight. There's an aura to this poem that lingers.
