In the light of the morning, new friend
An unsure, yet so curious soul
Appeared, chosen among your peers
So you make your new presence known
When I walked in here I saw
Something moving
My jaw falls
And who's to say how I have felt that time
Fur glistening gleam and glow
You stretch your chin in a yawn
Ears falling flat on your head
Then those feelings rushed in quick:
Love, affection, joy and bliss
You turn your neck
And cocked your head
Beady eyes staring straight to me
Then you yelped your gleeful little yelp
And asked me for a pet
Notes:
Made to rhyme as little as my sanity could handle
