my turn on stage had come to an end as i ran off stage quickly, the villain and victim hopped on stage. the villain had sharp teeth and sharp eyes, the victim looked like an innocent little bunny, wide eyed as it stared at the wolf licking its lips at the sight of its prey. i pried the curtains back slightly as i peered over to watch the scene unfold, i smile with a spark in my eyes. it was going very well. that was "was going well", everything was perfect, perfect lines and perfect actions. that was until the villain pulled out an old scuffed knife that was in their waistband behind them. they plunged the knife in the victims back as they yipped and fell limp. an old knife poking from their back. i gasp, my eyes grew as wide as the victim's eyes when they first hopped on stage. the audience clapped and cheered with gleaming faces, a smirk appeared on the villain's face as they took a bow. i stayed frozen in fear. that wasn't a part of the play, they didn't know that, they didn't know they just witnessed a real murder.

i peeled my orange today
"we all have our 'i peeled my orange today' stories."
bright letters fill my screen.
i'm pondering if i should message you,
or just let you be.
i give in;

bittersweet end
Our end is bittersweet,
some look down in defeat,
while others raise their fists in victory.
Some of us may cry when we wave goodbye,
some may smile with a twinkle in their eye.
