Pluto

She wished that space would talk to her,

And whispered to the moon,

About the days that haunted her,

And those that would come soon.

She wanted to apologize,

For wishing on the stars,

She knew that they had troubles,

So she thought she'd talk to Mars.

Yet Mars was quite a fickle folk,

He's prodded more than once,

So she sought to talk to Venus,

Though her furrows were a hunch.

She sang sweet songs to Saturn,

Though even Saturn didn't budge,

And while all her efforts hated,

She did start to feel a grudge.

She didn't know what she would do,

She's tried hard to convey,

And every time she thought they'd try,

They'd simply turn away.

She then had cried,

And sought the one,

She thought could be her guide,

The little Pluto wandering,

Quite small in such a sky.

She screamed at him to listen,

As her breath did break and tear,

When he finally spoke back to her,

She didn't even care.
