You left me drowning in a red sea of emotion
Making me map out the stars to predict your impossible current
I remember the invisible stream
Broken free from my split chest
That filled with the salt of the ocean
That’s taste still lingers on my tongue
Not as sweet as the sugar you once provided
I have been choked by the waves of your hands
Taking my bones as their control
As my lips are now Poseidon
And I am a cracked statue
For you are Medusa
I have survived each fear
But have not lived well doing so
Though I thrived well facing your love
But I was not scared of you
I was frightened of the heart that you have turned to stone
