Life is like the marshmallow in the s’more
First you have to take one out of the bag
Then stab it on a stick
If you do it wrong
The marshmallow drops into eager flames
You can start over
Unless you’re out of marshmallows
Then you’re out of luck
If it stays on
You choose how close to the fire you keep it
Too close and you create a torch
Still delicious on the inside
But on the outside,
Fragile and burnt
If it doesn’t burn and die
You slowly twirl it
Watching the outside turn
Cozy golden brown
Too long and the inside melts away
Falling falling falling
Again into the flames
If by now
You still have a marshmallow
You find a perfect match
Gram crackers
And chocolate
Together so much more tasty
You bite into the s’more
watch marshmallow ooze out the side
Success
But there are too many ways to lose your marshmallow
Not enough marshmallows to go around
