Rose Petal Dawns

In a world of rose petal dawns

And freshly mowed lawns

And the warmth of a million suns

There lives a child

Meek and mild

With fancies so fun and wild

And they never grow old

In the stories they told

And they never yet ever grew cold

Til’ in the place full of rose petal dawns

In the world of freshly mowed lawns

In the land with the warmth of a million suns

But then the warmth ceases

Cause then everything freezes

Humanity broken into a million pieces

And the wind grew quiet, and the birds flew away

And the child grew up in every which way

And so came the passing of every which day

Spent in war and in flames

When they threw around blame

When lives at stake were nothing but a game

And then far from a world of rose petals dawns

So far from a land of freshly mowed lawns

So far from the place with the warmth of a million suns

There was not a child to be found

  • questions for the tiny bird

Tiny ceramic bird, frozen in midair. Are you doomed to spend eternity seeking a flower you will never see? Spiderwebs cover your body as you dangle from a wire, staring at a pole of wood, cracks forming with time.

  • Error 404

I wake up today to a grey sort of feeling, like dawn, but mixed with bits of lint and dust. I keep having nightmares, every time I dare to close my eyes, but I must keep moving.

    I am so tired.

  • lonely days

    Once upon a lonely time

The moon fell in love with the sun

And so you see they were lovers

    Once when they were young
