Runaway Into The Storm

When the storm covers the sun and the clouds,
I think of you.
Your kind, ringing barks and woofs that drift though the night.
I think of you, and only you.
I think of know one else.
I think of you as a storm.
The rain, the times you peed.  Right on the floor.
The clouds, the things you covered up, plunging them into the darkness of the earth.
The thunder, the times that you would tear apart, everything, leaving shredded pillows.
The lightning, times that you left.  Ran away.
The rainbow, the good times we had.
The storm symbolizes you.
I know,
You had more bad, than good.
But that is why we found each other,
And that's why it was me and you.
You and me.
Then you left.
Like a storm drifting down the coast finding another place.
Then disappearing,
Vanishing,
I hated that.
Even though I kept running back.
So every time a storm rolls in,
I think of you, and your bright dog slobber smile.
I think of only you, and nothing else.
You are my sun on the Rainey day.
Every time I here a storm, I run to my window looking out,
Hoping to find you.
And only you.
Nothing else.
I am always disappointed, as I haven't seen you again.
Oh my dog.  I will always love you.

This is a poem of hope,

     a poem of peace.

    It is short and sweet,

simple as a bird going tweet.

    I just want to say

    Covid please go away

that is all I have to say.
  • You're Job Is A Tree

    You glow in the day,
    A shadow at night.
As kids climb you they scream with delight.
The sky turns pink, gold, and red.
You sit there watching. With nothing to be said.
    You bloom in the spring,
    And loom in the winter.
