The milky twilight 

Soft and still

Drenches me in feeling. 

My eyes illuminate, 

Reflecting the light of a million stars

Each one a place I’ll never know. 

In this moment, 

Alone, 

With nothing but starlight 

Memories

And lost dreams to guide me

I wonder if I’ll find my way back to you.

Take the road I said I would.

Follow my fantasies,

Or if I’ll turn around to gaze

At the expanse of road behind me

And run.

Run towards me

And my future I misplaced along the road to your heart. 

Future can’t be fantasy. 

I yearn for more than just a person. 

You can’t be all there is to love.
