That smile

I play for a lot of things.

That smile is one of them.

When we're doing something right

And you take fast four into two

And you're smiling and grinning and in full control

And we're not falling apart

And I love it,

So much,

When you smile like that.

It means we are together

It means we sound good

It means we are okay in the music and

It means you are comfortable and

It means we're together and

Taking it

Together

Doing it

Together

Playing

Together

Working

Together

Like we should

Always.

I love that smile because then I can relax into it

And it feels good,

Being up there,

But that smile means

We're not wrong

We're in the right place

At the right time

We're doing it right

Everything is fine.

That smile means you're feeling good

And so I feel good, too,

Because you look comfortable

And so I can be.

I play

For that.

To make you smile.

To make everyone smile

But for that assurance

That we are good

And that we have done it.
