Summer’s dew tastes like peppers
Fall’s dew tastes likes mushrooms
Winter’s dew tastes like mint
Yet loved more than most
Is Spring’s special dew
Spring’s dew tastes like sugar
A special treat for birds and bees
To wake them up from Winter’s chill
The sweetness of the dew
Was a gift from Mother Earth
To celebrate the birth
Of Spring
The other seasons don’t envy their ivy hued sibling
On the contrary
They treasure them
Spring is the one that takes the dim sun from Winter’s room
And closes the door to let them sleep
Spring is the one that cradles the sun
As they walk to Summer’s door gradually growing brighter
Spring is the one that feeds the bugs
While Fall is busy painting leaves
And when it’s time for Summer to take the sun from spring
Spring will smile and leave the door open so light will shine
And then they will crawl into Mother Earth’s lap to finally rest
After being so sweet to the world
