Stupidity

Some people vote, but never think,
Their choices shallow, quick to sink.
They cheer and boast, with voices loud,
But wisdom’s lost inside the crowd.

They claim to fight for what is right,
But never see beyond the sight.
Lost in slogans, round they spin,
Too blind to see the mess we’re in.

So here’s to those who blindly choose,
Their judgment lost, they’ll always lose.
They choose without a second glance,
Then wonder why they’re stuck in a trance.

  • Where I’m From

    I am from coffee beans,

from bitter brews and cracked porcelain mugs.

I am from the steamed soy eggs,

the scent that clings to mornings

    like an old, Chinese dwelling.

  • Wintery days

    Lights aglow on Christmas morn,
Laughter and joy in moments reborn.
Love fills the air as stories are shared,
A day of warmth, with hearts unprepared.

  • To Emily

In Amherst's shade, where whispers grow,
You stitched the seams of all we know,
A bee's soft hum, a slant of light,
Became the fabric of your night.
