summer '24 is when i cut off all my hair

and thats why you didn't notice me

summer '24 is when i went to music camp

and had the best time of my life

summer '24 is when i had that big argument with you

and i'm happy i lost connection with you

summer '24 is when i bleached my hair

and put colored streaks in it

summer '24 is when you got your pool

and we swam until we got cold

summer '24 was my first birthday without you

but i did well

summer '24 is when i watched the fireworks on fourth of July

and thought

"do you see this too? or are you afraid my dear..?"

summer '24 was when we walked around town, and laughed

that was until we got sunburnt because we forgot about our sunscreen

summer '24 was a good summer

and it'll always have a special place in my heart.
