Why do you care?
It’s not even your fight
You’ve never had to suffer
From these people’s plight
What a strange thing to ask.
It should be oh so clear
Why I choose to place myself
Right at this spot here
Like them I’m human too
That’s all it should take
For me to wish to ease
Their long forgotten ache
So I’ll stand beside them
No matter how long
It should have to affect me
For it to be so wrong
