Time Slip

My leisure was over
quicker than expected.
Now I'm back to doing homework
but keep getting distracted.
Another glance at the clock
Another 30 minutes gone.
And you see, it builds up quickly
you start off at zero real nicely,
but a few minutes and a quarter's gone by,
goes from 15 to thirty to 45
where in five minutes the hour is practically over,
intervals of sixties slipping right through your fingers.
Now what felt like forever
just couldn't be shorter.

Oh please, can it all slow down?

I'm afraid I might drown,

Crashing
past each deadline,

Falling

through time

  • Come On

    Come on,

    just another step.

    Come on,

    just another breath.

    Come on,

    just another swallow

of the pain that makes you hollow.

    Just one more sweet smile

  • Why I write

    I write to relate,

    and to speak my truth.

I write to prove I know pain,

and to see that others do too.

    I write to be heard.

When the world becomes a deaf frustration,

  • Stuffies

They're always there when I need them,

    they never run away.

They're always here when troubles stem

to hear what I have to say.

    They don't judge

    or hold a grudge.
