Let them take you away.

Have the waves be your friend,
Have them show you the way.
The waves show you love,
The waves whisper to you not to be afraid.
Let the song of the ocean keep you alive,
Like the blood pulsing through your veins.
For when you let the waves surround you,
They finally can take you away.

I want to freeze this moment
so I can save it for as long as I live.
I want to take in everything –
the sounds, smells, view,
the peace.
I still dream about that year.
I still can remember everything there:
The sight, sound, smell, everything.
With every year that goes past,
I hold the memories closer and closer to my heart.
Deep in my heart,
I still wonder what went wrong.
Somewhere along the way,
Everything fell.
Every day something falls,
But these days I can't seem to build it back up.
