We're Already Dead

Everybody fears death

Until they’re already dead

Left for the people who hunt the weak and support the strong

Am I wrong?

I’ve heard it all before

“What do you want to be when you’re older?”

How do I figure it out when all I think about is how I’m just trying to survive the days?

People make the worst mistakes

The men in charge

They make mistakes

But everyone who supports them just bats an eye

How do I know that I won’t go to war?

I know it's too late now

Even then, you start to think

“What was it like before all of this?”

I say, “I don’t know, I wasn’t born”

They expect you to know everything

When they don’t know everything themselves

We are children

Tired, worthy children

We just want to live

In a world

Where blood doesn’t stain the snow

Where bombshells and smoke don't fill the sky

Where we can live in peace

And you know

Before long

You realize that the men in charge

Have doomed us all

To dust, right before our eyes

How can we fear death, if we’re already dead?

  • Your Blue Eyes

If your eyes were the ocean, I'd swim in them.

If they were the sky, I'd fly in them.

Collecting crystals as blue as your eyes,

I wonder what I could see inside?
