I was once told “There’s no use in helping someone whose problems are on the rim of the cup” I never understood that saying, but I knew that my own vase was overflowing. Who will I pour myself into, understand that I am no other than human. I could hear my tears sinking into the sheet of my pillow, crying silently, knowing no one would come to comfort me, even if I asked for it. My problems overfill rivers upon rivers, ocean to sand, and over the rim of my cup.
“There’s nothing you could or should have done”
Not everything has a happy ending no matter how deeply we wish for it.
