Why do I care?

1 out of 5 girls are married before they turn 18 and many of them have no option. Those girls married before 18 have a 50% higher chance of being abused by their partner than girls married later in life.

30% of women are sexually and/or domestically abused across the world and that is just 15 years and older. 1/8 girls and/or women are raped globally. 1 out of 8 girls have people forced on them. Some of them are kids. The same as you and me. 

4 out of 5 women feel like doctors dismiss their symptoms because they are female. Why? Because 69% of major health companies are lead by men. 75% of medical research is done on men meaning doctors know more about men than women leading to them not listening or not knowing how to help women.

More then 122 million girls do not go to school across the world due to gender stereotypes that lead to them staying home, cooking, cleaning or watching kids.

None of this is ok, we are talking about 49.6% of the global population. One of those girls has or will experience at least one of those things in their life.
