Why Tacocat?

Why does one love?
Why doesn’t one “love”?

One loves for the person they see
The eyes shining in the light, a twinkling of the galaxy in their sight
For hair, soft, dark, and short.
To run their hands through, without a thought
For their wit, their cheer, their charm
Who wouldn’t fall in love with one so smart?
Hugging for solace, for a last goodbye
clinging onto the other, afraid to leave behind.
Warm touches like rain whilst the sun is out
creating a rainbow, a message for love.
One is in love, it is for certain
For their reassurances, for their comfort,
like coming back home, after a long day
Like consuming coffee, on a rainy day
Like taking a bath, except you are not alone anymore
Loving is a burden upon thee
But it is a burden one must hold
Because without love, how can one truly be?

Why doesn’t one “love”?
For hatred, for war
For broken glasses on the floor
For war cries and broken sobbing
On the wooden floor
Loving is a dangerous game
That leaves those hurt
Loving is optional
For those who cannot face the heartbroken
Isn’t it far simpler to just
not love?
To not care for those who’ve wronged you
To not care for those who care for you
An icy reign, walls built like Troy
Where no fire nor horse could make it in
Not loving is simple
Not loving gives you freedom
of the burden of love, weighing one down.
Of the burden that crushes you to the ground.
Without love, one must be happier than the many,
Right?

Where is the love one seeks?
Where is the hate one wishes?
Why is love and hate the same side of the coin
The same lawn
The same sea
Why isn’t love linear?
Why does it have many names?
The same guy
The same girl
The same meaning.
Why does one love?
Why doesn’t one “love”?
The answer is simple:
Tacocat (the burden of loving is the heaviest burden of all)
