They call her the witch
Says she acts like a tramp
All the men ignore her
'Til she lights her red lamp
They call her all sorts
Of things god forbids
Though they wouldn't say them
In front of their kids
They call her a lost cause
As a child she was pure
And all the boys liked her
She was sweet and demure
As a teen she was reckless
She howled at the stars
She got kicked out real young
Started working at bars
They wanted to fix her
Send a nice olive branch
But she liked who she was
"Send that girl to the ranch!"
Women afraid of offending
The big men, so stern
All gather up kindling
To help her to burn
And the witch who must die
She stands tall and stands proud
Because a new witch is watching
Somewhere from the crowd
Says she acts like a tramp
All the men ignore her
'Til she lights her red lamp
They call her all sorts
Of things god forbids
Though they wouldn't say them
In front of their kids
They call her a lost cause
As a child she was pure
And all the boys liked her
She was sweet and demure
As a teen she was reckless
She howled at the stars
She got kicked out real young
Started working at bars
They wanted to fix her
Send a nice olive branch
But she liked who she was
"Send that girl to the ranch!"
Women afraid of offending
The big men, so stern
All gather up kindling
To help her to burn
And the witch who must die
She stands tall and stands proud
Because a new witch is watching
Somewhere from the crowd
