words are like weapons, but mine won't wound

If all the words in the world were gone

And we were left with the thoughts in our heads,

The list of things to say wouldn't be that long,

If I had one sentence to speak before sentences were dead.

I don't have a story to tell to the world,

I don't have some inspiring speech to leave,

Because my whole life revolved around that girl,

The one that decided we weren't meant to be.

So you, that girl, I have something to say,

Even though they're all buried, the words aren't hard to find,

The sentence has been itching in the back of my brain,

I'll love you forever, and you can run back to me anytime.

We run back to your house,

    The fog covers the sky,

    And blankets the world,

    Like a shield.

The waves nip at our feet,

    The water's cold

But I'm warm because you hold my hand,
