As the World Unfurls

A kingdom below, alive in the dark;

Illuminating a path to the light.

Children of the sea, swim beside the ark,

O belovèd of the waves, and the night.

The ark, it struck the earth (but not the sea),

Though some of its fragments splinter’d away.

Those who dwell upon the land will compete

No longer, with you and your brethren. Brays

Could be heard from deep within the kingdom

When the ark shatter’d all, from sky to dirt.

You were quiet, when the world turn’d undone.

The strands of the web of life are b’come hurt

That which remains shall suture existence

Together, to calm this earthly dissonance.
