Luminosity

juxtaposed in the density
of gloomy skies, i know
that luminosity is out there.
she knows that sometimes
you have to feel your
entire body aching and
your cheeks shattered with
tears before you can be
gifted laughter. she knows
that it thunders before it rains.
that wounds hurt before they heal.
and that babies cry before they
laugh. she knows that
it pains to walk on glass
without an end in sight. she
knows that spines snap
after bending over backwards
for too long. she knows that
people can only walk for so long
in a dark tunnel until they no longer
recognize themselves. she knows
that. but she also knows that it has
to get better eventually. it has to.

  • End of school year stuff :)

As we slip into summer break, I just wanted to express that school in the past year in the pandemic has been incredibly difficult and that everyone here deserves time to themselves this summer to do things that you love!
  • changes

the world seems to always be changing
you grip onto one thing but then it slips
    right from your fingers

    life can be
    static
    monotone
    predictable

    but it can also be
    dynamic
    ever-changing
    chaotic
  • spring is near

the sun is coming out quickly
    and doesn't leave too soon
the buds haven't began to blossom
the trees look a little bare
but there's a warm-ish breeze in the air
that tells me spring is near
