You Changed

People say it takes a miracle for some people to change.
I think a tragady works too.
Because you've changed, quite a lot actually.
Sometimes when I look at you or hear you're voice,
I have to process for a momment and realize,
That you're still you.
And I'm sure the little dark voice is still in you somewhere,
The little selfish child you once were,
Intertwined in your bones.
But I can't find it,
And trust me,
I looked.
And maybe I was just blinded by my emotions, and you changed a long time ago,
I don't know.
But you care now,
And I'm not sure who or what tought you to care,
But I'm silently thanking them for making you such a better person.
Why do you care about school now?
Is it because we're drawing so near to the end,
And you're suddenly feeling it creep up on you,
Just like it's doing to me?
And maybe this all will change when everything goes back to normal,
Even though I don't think any of us remember normal.
But I'll be gone before it changes,
So if you change back too,
I'll probably never know.

I want to build you a castle, even though I can barely use a screw driver.
I want to write you a song, one that would make you think of me on a whole new level,
One you could listen to when we're apart.
  • Promise, Someday

    Someday.
Someday we will hug and kiss like its no big deal,
Wrap our arms around each other and walk down the street.
Someday I’ll have a special name, that only you call me,
    Something that makes me smile,
  • Always something

It's always got to be something.
That one thing that takes the wind out from under your wings making you tremble,
    and fall.
And it's always the something you generally expect,
    But hoped wouldn't happen.
