Revelation

I'm out on the water, one beautiful afternoon, just enjoying myself and my own thoughts, pondering whatever comes to mind. Ideas float by like cattail fluffs drifting along with the current of the tide. One idea seemed to get caught in my brain, as though it was bigger than the rest like it was an explanation for something significant, the meaning of some bigger picture point of view. You spend the first 25 years of your life preparing for the next 40. Those first 25 years you learn and gather the skills everyone tells you are required to live the rest of your life, but you're still supposed to have fun along the way. then the next 40 years you work, you work to provide for yourself and the people you care about, you use the skills you picked up along the way to make a living for yourself, but you still supposed to enjoy yourself. After those 40 years, you're set free from the ball and chain and left to live out the rest of your life and enjoy it. So it receded from my head I wished I could have trapped it and kept it. Unfortunately, that was impossible but I realized for the first time I was beginning to understand what life is all about.

Just a normal Friday, I’ve spent my entire day here, at my house, because of covid-19, I can only go to school two days a week. I hate it, every part of it, I wish it could just be normal.

An utter mess, so undeniably hectic that if it was my room I have no doubt I would be kicked straight out of my house. As I left school that afternoon that's how I would have described my life.
