The Bigger Picture



The gunshots fire

Blood pours

Sirens sound

Screams fill the air

People stand there

No one does anything

Faces frozen in shock

Tears streaming down your face

And all you do is stand there

You can’t think

You know it wasn’t right

Yet

All you do is stand there

Someone's life is taken

There soul slipping through their hands

Police officers crowd

Weeks pass

You think about the moment

How all you managed to do

Was stand there

People found innocent

You were there

You didn’t use your voice

Your power

Because

All you did was stand there
