I'm sorry (a haiku compilation)

your effervescent smile
laughter bubbles from your lips
you make me ever happy

just by saying this
I know deep down inside
hides a secret joy

a longing often
fills my sorrowful heart
just by being gone

I cry in the dark
you've left and now I'm lonely
I'm sorry for what

I may have spoken
those sour words that fell
from my angry mouth

I'm sorry for that
that time I yelled too loudly
it was a mistake

made by my only
semi conscience self, driven
by a furry deep within

I'm sorry, i hurt
an angel. i never meant
to break your heart more.

    Looming over your shoulders

Each stack higher than its former

    Every thought and every scrap

Of an idea too scared to ponder

    Every moment that hurt

    Each minute that lingered longer

  • Inadequacy

How do I push the words out
    From behind my taffy tongue
    Thick with salty tears
    And full of grubby thumb

    I’m a child
    Pretending that I’m numb
    To escape the overwhelming feelings

    Why

When feet fall soft but quick

    Does the hallway extend

And the hot breath of whoever’s behind me feel hotter

Why do I stay pressed to the wall

    Like a stubborn gruby sticker
