12 Days of Commenting

Untitled-1.jpg

Back by popular demand!
The second annual 12 Days of Commenting extravaganza!

Give the greatest number of high-quality comments between December 24 and January 4 and you will be rewarded with a YWP secret gift package that will arrive at your door in the depths of winter (mid-January).
  • What does high-quality mean? Tell the writer what you noticed about the piece, be specific (and be kind), suggest a next step and/or relate the piece to something you are working on yourself. You can even create a sprout ("I was so moved by your piece that it made me write this ..."). If you receive comments, please send out a quick thanks -- and comment on their work if you can!
  • YWP will track comments throughout the challenge and tally them up at the end.
  • How will I know which pieces to comment on? All pieces are fair game. Seek writing throughout the site, find some authors you haven't read before and invite them to join the challenge, too, by commenting on their pieces. Also please bring love to those with no comments. They'll really appreciate hearing from you and know that you took the time to read and think about their piece. How to find them? Hover over READ > RECENT and click RECENT-TABLE.
The best way to RECEIVE comments is to GIVE them to others.
