A Strange Thing

Lucky is a

Strange thing, like

Being locked

Alone,

And lonely,

In the laws

We are told to learn,

In the bridges

We ignore as they burn.

It is said

That

Our country is dominant,

Our teachings are prominent

Through our world, which

We must save because

Our ancestors were not brave

Enough.

Every day

More people

Are slaughtered,

Our planet

Gets hotter,

Why is it

Not a bother?

We must fix what

We broke, by

Laying down arms,

And joining

Arm in Arm

To fight, not for

Solidarity,

But for fellowship.

This fight needs not

Fire, but flowers.

This change must be

Run with, not stepped on.

If we don’t break down

These walls, they will

Crumble on us.
