We cross the dimly lit street running then slow down to wait for Johnny. It’s 10 o'clock at night as we walk under the big red sign, you can barely read it because only two of the letters are still lit up, but once you get close enough you can make out the words “Price Chopper.” We walk under the cement overhang, I can see shadows in the parking lot, strips of cardboard and beer cans are littered everywhere. Voices echo from the shadows in the corner which hurries us inside. My eyes are instantly met with the blinding white light of the store. Bryce steers us first towards the candy near the back of the store. We pass the frozen aisle and once we arrive at the the big dairy sign that hangs over the last aisle we stand there acting like regular customers while Johnny looks for security cameras. Once nobody's watching, we slip into the small gap between the two walls filled with shelves holding food. We enter one of the small storage rooms Cole had told us about.
