The New Girl

My friend Ally asked me to write a poem for her drawing and this is how it turned out!

There was a new girl in class today
She had long blonde hair
And light eyes that wandered the room.
And when she walked by me
I smelled her sweet perfume.
She wore an oversized jacket
That seemed to swallow her whole.
And when she looked at me and smiled
I knew she had a kind soul.
I wanted to ask for her name
I wanted to get to know her.
But when the bell rang
She was out the door all the same.
The hallways were crowded
As I looked for her blonde hair.
But she was lost in the sea of people.
She had disappeared into thin air.

From the day you were born I loved you unconditionally.

I loved you every second, of every minute, of every day.

When you were born, I was reborn alongside you.

    Fall

You are still, but the bright trees around you shake.

Colored leaves fall onto your surface.

The wind howls, but you are calm.

  • One: A Tale of Love

    I never realized

There was a big difference between

    Being in love

    And loving someone.

    Not until you came along.

I’ve come up with an idea.

    I call it

    The hole of love.
