Little Sebago Lake
The gravel crunches under the car as we turn down the winding road beside the lake.
I glance out the window, watching the boats fly past the shore.
The car pulls to a stop as my brother and I unbuckle our seat belts. -

My phone buzzes against the table as I fumble with my sheets, reaching one hand out towards it. I press accept and hold it up to one ear.

The kettle whistled as my aunt slipped an apron over her shiny auburn hair. My mom twirled around the kitchen with my aunt like a pair of seasoned dancers. -
