as colorful strands  

cascade down her face –

a painter 

painted in cool colors

that sing of soft sands

they say they’re open-minded 

until i open my mind

in the way the watch ticks 

making itself known 

when the reluctant quiet emerges

a melodic ticking in the back of my skull

gives a pace

The rain is falling now

You can cry

All this pain now

You've been holding for a while

Your fear will be safe with me

and the music of rain showers
