I have been stuck for so long

In this never-ending repeating life

Of school, work, sleep

Stress eating at midnight 

And stress crying in the afternoon

The question is

Will I be unstuck in time

I am a waterfall without water

which is to say 

Ideas used to flow 

Now they just disappeared

like water after a drought

I'm drying out 

my blood is stuck

which is to say

Life is so short

I might as well

Live all the lives

I dream of living 

After all I might regret

Living the life

I don’t dream about 

Time is a strange thing

     slowly flowing down down down

           rushing away in a breeze

Time heals heartbreak

      changes a person

My best friend listens when I cry,

He listens when I laugh,

He grins when I glance his way.

I know he can't talk,

I know he can't laugh,

I know...

He is a dog.

But he is my best friend,
