I have seen women love this country,
while being silenced,
beaten,
harrassed,
ignored,
raped,
accused,
put down,
and still,
they are proud to be American. 
 

You don't have to lose yourself,
to find a happiness,
you where told to have.
You have to find the happiness,
you want to have.
 

I write letters to people
because I can't always make sense,
when those words,
come out of my mouth.
 

I'd give you my heart

and you'd break it

you'd leave me in the dust

and I'd cry

knowing I'd never get you back

leaving

is what

broke me

your

ignoring me

is what 

haunts me

your 

not caring

is what

tore me open

but your

leaving

also

you made me swallow hope to soon
had me drowning in the stuff
till i was near to bursting
you had me thinking i was safe
you would never hurt me
until you did
like a knife to flesh
blood making an invisible river
