Why is my body being banned,
Unlike the gun held in your hand.
Why are some people pro-life,
but remain pro-NRA?
Why is my body feared,
She won't kill anyone.

You look at me like you won a battle,
I did not know we where fighting.
A battle I do not want to fight.
So I just look away. 

Maybe all I need is to find myself,
and hold her tight.

I need to know,
what I should do.
But no one ever tells me.

Sometimes I forget how well you know me,
knowing when I am sad just by a change in my shoulders,
knowing when I am angry just by the way I clench my hands,
knowing I am stressed when I start fidgeting.

I need this,
your light,
like a moth,
always looking for the moon.
            So won't you take my hand,
fingers laced up tight,
like shoelaces.
