What are you doing?

You're hurting innocent people,
and they blame each other
for things that you did.

Some people don't believe in you,
how does that make you feel?

You've hurt people
and caused them pain,

I am a poet,
feather pen brushing 
through the ink
and over the page,
a bird in flight.

My voice is unhindered 
by bars or barricades,
no rules to shut me down.
I can fly free,
spread my wings,

Trips to the store become exciting.

Last year my first day of school
was a day earlier
than everybody else's 
because of stupid freshmen orientation

Teachers lined the walls of the gym
and cheered as we walked through the doors
