Running home
Yellow jacket,
red rain boots,
she pulls her hood up,
covering her face,
a kind face,
with gentle, sloping eyes,
and a delicate button nose,
which expands with every tired breath,
she runs,
away from her problems, -
Frogs In A Forest
Little creatures,
Green and sweet,
They raise their heads to the incoming rain,
Letting it soak in,
Closing their eyes and smiling to themselves,
Imagining a sunny day,
Sitting on a lily pad,
One leap through the air, -

At The End of The Book
As I turn the last page,
I close my eyes,
Because I know what comes when I read those last words,
That feeling of longing,
Of wishing I could be a part of the story,
But knowing that it isn't there, -
Reminiscing
I'm on a tire swing. I screech with laughter as my brother gives the swing a shove. I go flying through the air, too scared o falling to let go of the sides of my ride, but not too scared to lean my head back and stare at the sky. -
The Storm
Thunder booms,
I stare,
At the twisting clouds,
Menacing yet beautiful,
A flash,
Then more thunder,
Snow swirls around,
Encompasing the whole world in white,
It's dark,
