A funny thought I'll
-be forgotten and everyone
that knew me will be
forgotten too.

I'm chasing winter
in -pursuit of spring (?)
and marigold flowers
and some (legacy) that
-won't matter anyway.

She'd often drag me along on these trips. Spontaneous-middle of the night excursions that led me someplace different everytime.

I live further away than far
and am beyond - recognition
from when you last laid eyes
on my solitary shape.

My eyes are not mine
and my thoughts even less so;
this here - one thought -
happiness that never belonged

It was a strange new years tradition, really. I'd never quite understood why I'd repeated it year after year especially given the dubious origin of the practice.

So I've come here again. It's funny how little time it takes for things to go wrong.
