I will admit I loved him

All his flaws disappeared

The weird way he grinned

His work-worn hands

The smell of sawdust and woods

In every particle of skin 

He was the only thing I could think of

I hate that you have some sort of power over me

Not the love of your life

Not even sure you call me a friend

You have me crying every night 

Wondering what I should change

Would you love me 

summer awakens that joy in me

not the kind

people attempt to attribute to poetry

(go read some poems,

idiots,

go find out that poets

aren't always joyful,

go discover that sadness

you?

the end,

the hope,

the forgotten?

yes, child, 

i know you.

you?

the lost,

the love,

the pain?

you, 

the light at the end of the tunnel?

yes, i know you.

I am falling,

falling into an abyss of darkness

falling into an inferno of flames licking your body

falling into the cold and jagged sea

I am being swallowed,

swallowed by an aura of deep black dread

No one likes you 

They say

But I really don’t care anyway

I know that there’s a bigger picture

A better life around the bend

Being disliked is no the end

Or is it?
