For Everyone on YWP, 

I don't normally write letters, or tell people what I'm about to write...but this is special. 

Snowflakes
delicate
twists of air
concealing
the path behind us

Our footprints
scattered haphazardly
among the silent trees
strands of fractured light
ribboned and woven through 
their seemingly
lifeless

Wake up
to early morning colors
shy, buttery sunlight
dusting off the trees
just like it does
every sunrise

Go and sit
among the sunflowers

Back into the house
eggs frying on the stove

I can't force the words out 
You stand there patiently awaiting my answer
As I struggle to find the courage to talk
The words are just stuck, 
putting them out into the world is harder than you could ever imagine
