A Sports Person

Stay.
Act like no one is watching.
Focus on the rim.
Don't let it out of your sight.
Watch it, with every inch of your body.
Grip the ball.
Firmly, strongly.
Tune out the crowd, 
Bring the ball up.

My parents tell me about the tooth fairy.
I wonder, are they real?
And if they are, why do they want all theses teeth?
Why do they want them, what will they do with them?
Have you every wondered?

Stay still.
Do it.
Dont think.
They will bite.
Don't show your weakness.
Show your strength.
Don't do what they say.
Take advantage.
Show them.
That you can be better.
You can stand up.

If life were an ocean, 
We would be the rip tide.
The wave that hurts and doesn't forgive.
We would be crashing and pulling away.

If life were a backpack,
We would be the broken zipper.

This blank page.
It's staring at me.
I can here it's whispers.
Write on me, draw on me, do something with me.
But all I can think about is this blank page,
And how lucky I am to have it.
