When it's time

When I am no longer myself
And you are no longer yourself
Will we meet again?

And when everything you promised
Will happen
Has
Will the days finally change?

And when we meet again
What will be said
Will it follow with an embrace

And deep down
Will I still be me?
And will you still be you?

And for now
As I sit here
Staring at you
As you watch me
That's all I have to say
And maybe time won't pass between us
And maybe we'll just stay the same

  • The dog at the end

There’s a dog that sits on the end of my street—

he barks at anyone that nears,

snarling teeth that glow shiny in the afternoon light.

  • I am not

    I am not a poet
I don’t know how to use my words the way they can
I can’t captivate the minds of my friends by stringing them along with the simplest of words

    I am not a musician
