Time neither hastens nor slackens for anyone... march on it does, and grow up we do. But don't rush the process! As soon as you reach adulthood, you'll realize you'd do anything to get back to where you are, right now! (Assuming your speaker's voice is just a little bit of your own too, anyway.)

Ah, okay! Majority of my poems are about nature, so I feel like a longer poetry book may be better, but in all honesty I have no clue!

I think it depends on the content of the poetry. It its meant to be super deep or have a deeper meaning, longer or shorter can affect the way the readers understand and process the information. The most important thing would be to first analyze your writing content and decide on a length that gives you the space to develop and complete your idea(s). Short answer: It really depends on the poetry itself.
